Profiles appear in a wide variety of contexts and genres. (Three examples appear in the scenarios at the beginning of this chapter.) The following example (a screenshot of an online profile) is from the project highlighted in the “In College Courses” scenario. The student designed her work to inform others interested in collaborative learning (including her classmates) about the sixth graders she studied. Notice that while her profile demonstrates many of the genre’s key features, it also makes use of Web design to indicate separate Web pages and a link to the author’s own profile.
