Chapter 20, Additional Exercise 2: Evaluating Object Definitions

Many Internet search engines allow whole-language queries, in which you submit your query in a complete sentence written in the form of a question. In groups of two or three, go to an Internet search site that allows whole-language searches (such as AltaVista, Google, or Ask.com). Submit a search query in the form of "What is X?" with X being an object associated with your field of study. What kinds of definitions do you find as a result of the search? Can you find examples of the three types of definitions discussed in Chapter 20? Be prepared to share your results with the class.
