Dear Ms. Grissert:

As I was reading the Sunday Examiner, I came upon your ad for a buyer. I have always been interested in learning about the South, so would you consider my application?

I will receive my degree in fashion design in one month. I have taken many courses in fashion design, so I feel I have a strong background in the field.

Also, I have had extensive experience in retail work. For two summers I sold women's accessories at a local clothing store. In addition, I was a temporary department head for two weeks.

I have enclosed a résumé and would like to interview you at your convenience. I hope to see you in the near future. My phone number is 555-6103.

Sincerely,

Brenda Sisneros
