Angel Falls, Venezuela. Known in Venezuela as Salto Angel, the falls cascade 3185 feet from Auyun Tepui, a towering sandstone plateau. The falls were named for pilot Jimmy Angel, who crash-landed atop the tepui in the 1930s.
