Scott Dugdale - Wavegroup Sound

So first I started with this drumbeat that I created, I played some drums and made a loop. I'm producing a singer/songwriter named Becca. We have a song called "Sad But True." With the entire record, we collaborated on the melodies and the ideas for the songs, but musically I've played, like, 99% of the whole record. I added this bass line. I added some organ parts and a funky clarinet part, right here. I added some brass. I added some extra live brass that I played. And the things that I don't play, like guitar or electric bass, I'll bring in some guys and some studio guys to come in and fill those parts out if we need it. Once I got the groove where I liked it I started adding some extra things like percussion, like this tambourine part. I also added some extra loud drum fills. So now that entire section, together, sounds like this. And then she will come in and lay down her vocal tracks and however the arrangement goes, it could be one or two, it could be several. Once we get the vocal tracked, add it in to the music mix.
