In the "Adult Swim" cartoon, "Metalapolypse," Deathklock is the most metal band in the world, and they will eventually lead the Apocalypse of the entire human race. But Deathklock, in making their latest CD, decided that it was unfit for human ears, and they were failing every time they were creating this CD. Over and over again, the lead singer deleted it, until they decided, 'This CD - we're going to record in a nuclear submarine underwater, for the fish, and we will rise again, and the fish will love our CD.' Which leads directly to my quotation today by Confucius, "Our greatest glory is not falling but righting every time we fail." I agree with the quotation. Our greatest glory is picking ourselves back up and moving forward, even though we have failed - just like Deathklock in Metalapolypse; they decided that we will rise again, and record our CD to the fishes, in order to produce the greatest metal CD in creation. We will examine the quotation today through, first, "The Three Hundred." Then we're going to talk about Mumia Abu-Jamal, and lastly, we're going to look at the novel 1984 by George Orwell.
