Chapter 25: Portfolios

CHAPTER 25
Portfolios

REFLECT: Respond to James Kung's reflective portfolio cover letter.

A PORTFOLIO IS A SELECTION OF YOUR WORK —whether for class, for a job, or for some other purpose—that you think shows off your skills to best advantage. Many college writing classes require portfolios from students at the end of the course, but putting together a portfolio can also help you develop real-world skills. Applicants for jobs and internships in many fields can make an impact with a carefully chosen portfolio of work that shows off relevant expertise or training.
