Assume that you have written the following sentences and want to know the answers to the questions in brackets. Use the index at the end of the book to locate the information you need, and edit the sentences if necessary.

The index entry “each” mentions that the word is singular, so you might not need to look further to realize that the verb should be has, not have. The index entry “has vs. have” leads you to the chart in G1-b.
