Using the checklist for reading and evaluating arguments in section A3-c, evaluate the argument written by student Sam Jacobs in section A4-h. Record your notes and comments in the space below. Do you find his argument persuasive? Is his argument logical and fair? Identify the appeals Jacobs uses to reach his audience. Does he, for instance, present himself as a trustworthy and credible writer? If you had an opportunity to talk with Jacobs, what counterarguments would you pose?
