Explain

  • Reviews of books and other media appear in a variety of periodicals. Follow the appropriate model for the periodical.

  • Give the author and title of the review, if any. If there is no author, begin with the title.

  • In brackets following the title, give the words “Review of” followed by the type of work reviewed and the title of the work. Give the author for a book or the year for a motion picture.

  • If the review has no author or title, use the material in brackets as the title.

  • For a film review, write “Review of the motion picture,” and for a TV review, write “Review of the television program.” Treat other media in a similar way.
