Double comparatives or superlatives

Do not use double comparatives or superlatives. When you have added -er or -est to an adjective or adverb, do not also use more or most (or less or least).

Example sentence with editing. Original sentence: All the polls indicated that Gore was more likelier to win than Bush. Revised sentence: All the polls indicated that Gore was more likely to win than Bush.

Example sentence with editing. Original sentence: Of all her family, Julia is the most happiest about the move. Revised sentence: Of all her family, Julia is the happiest about the move.
