Realistic representation of a composing process

The composing process can be represented realistically as a series of loops in which the composer revisits the stages and elements of her composition.

Image. This is a copy of the previous figure with six vertical segments separated by plus signs. In this one, there are double-sided arrows connecting one segment to another in a fairly random fashion. First segment shows five thumbnails of videos: twin towers burning on September 11, 2001, Kennedy speech, shuttle Challenger exploding, Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy in motorcade just before his assassination, and crowd watching Challenger liftoff. Second segment shows an icon indicating music. Third segment shows a thumbnail image of a text document and an audio icon. Fourth segment shows the thumbnails of videos from first segment rearranged: shuttle Challenger exploding, Kennedy speech, twin towers burning on September 11, 2001, crowd watching Challenger liftoff, and Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy in motorcade just before his assassination. At the bottom are icons for audio and music. Fifth segment shows an icon indicating font choices. Sixth segment shows a movie clapper. Then there is an equals sign and on the right of the equals sign are the words Multimodal project.
