- Begin with the author of the entry, if there is one, followed by the title of the entry in quotation marks.
- If there is no author, begin with the title of the entry.
- Then list the title of the reference work, the edition number (if any), and the date of the edition.
- Volume and page numbers are not necessary because the entries in the source are arranged alphabetically and therefore are easy to locate.
