Explain

  • Cite as you would a book (print or on the Web), italicizing the title.
  • Add a description of the type of content in brackets following the title, as in the examples.
  • For a print source, end with the city and publisher. For a source found on the Web, end with the URL.

Note on breaking URLs and DOIs

  • If you must break a URL or a DOI at the end of a line, break it after a double slash or before any other mark of punctuation.
  • Do not add a hyphen.
  • Do not put a period at the end of the entry.
