Explain

  • In the note, treat the comment as a blog post, adding the words “comment on” before the author of the post.
  • If the blog is part of a larger site (such as a newspaper’s or an organization’s site), add the title of the site after the blog title, as in the example.
  • In the bibliography example, the blog is given by title only because the blog has many contributors, not a single author.

Note on breaking URLs and DOIs

  • If you must break a URL or a DOI at the end of a line, break it after a colon or a double slash or before any other mark of punctuation.
  • Do not add a hyphen.
  • Do not put a period at the end of the entry.
