Explain

For a long work, such as a book, a play, or a long poem, give these elements in the works cited entry:

  • the author
  • the title of the long work, italicized
  • the title of the Web site on which the work is found, italicized
  • the publisher or sponsor of the site
  • the date of publication or most recent update
  • your date of access if there is no update date

NOTE: When a URL must be divided at the end of a line, break it only after a slash or a double slash or before any other mark of punctuation. Do not insert a hyphen at the end of the line.
