Radio continues to be one of the most used mass media, reaching about 92 percent of American teenagers and adults every week.19 Because of radio’s broad reach, the airwaves are very desirable real estate for advertisers, who want to reach people in and out of their homes; for record labels, who want their songs played; and for radio station owners, who want to create large radio groups to dominate multiple markets.
