Malala Yousafzai spoke about education at the United Nations Youth Assembly on July 12, 2013, in the photo that appears on this tab. At the time of her speech, Yousafzai was sixteen years old. She became a prominent leader and activist after she was shot by the Taliban for voicing her support of education for girls in Pakistan.
