Communicating in Other Media

A recent survey conducted for this book identified more than forty kinds of multimodal or multimedia projects that writing instructors across the country are assigning to their students: not just PowerPoint and Prezi presentations but annotated playlists, blogs, comics, product pitches, live tweets, video essays, wikis, and more. As communicating with media becomes more common and even more necessary in your life, it’s important to think carefully about your goals and your audiences—as well as about how to accomplish and reach them most effectively, no matter what kind of project you are creating.
