Framing: DefineFraming offers a way to describe how a visual text is presented—both its literal frame, like a window or picture frame (the lines around what we see) and the sight lines within it that draw our focus. Individual frames or series of frames can be divided to achieve a particular purpose. There are several options for dividing frames to draw the audience’s attention, some of which are shown here. Focusing on how something is framed helps us think about what is important in a text. |
