Explain

  • Cite a visual as you would a short work within a longer work (for example, Short work from a website or Article in a magazine).
  • Add publication information.
  • If the visual has a number in the source, give that number after the date.
  • Add a descriptive label at the end if the type of visual is not clear from the title.

NOTE: When a URL must be divided at the end of a line, break it before a period or a hyphen or after any other mark of punctuation. Do not insert a hyphen at the end of the line.
