ABOUT AMERICA FERRERA
America Ferrera, pictured on this tab at a rally for immigration reform, is an actress and activist. In 2013, she addressed graduates at the University of Delaware commencement and spoke about the importance of education. America is also an ambassador for Save the Children. In addition, she worked on the PBS documentary Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, and has given many speeches about this work. America speaks passionately about the causes that she believes in, often bringing up stories from her life as a child of immigrants from Honduras. Her speaking style exemplifies an effective use of oral style marked by vivid language and compelling personal stories.
